An RPG board for advanced players, the world of Terminus Excidetus - a place between everything – also provides a location for other admins to have alternate universe type of storylines take place in. However, we’re also looking for players who would like to take up characters at Terminus itself (citizens etc.).
Any questions, comments, requests? Feel free to pm or e-mail me!
Note: We have moved to another board and now also have an additional website (that’s where those links are leading to)! [/b]
Some words from Terminus Excidetus’ tourist guide…
Welcome, wayfarer, welco- oh, could you watch out a little? The gardener is going to kill you if you ruin his work. Why the confused look, even graveyards need to be decorated nicely, especially with all those unexpected arrivals. Well, unexpected only by themselves anyway; we are always prepared, grew up with those vortexes opening in the most unfitting of moments and as the local tourist gui-…um, person in charge of informing…
Yes, of course you don’t know where you are. If you did, you wouldn’t be here! Sheesh, honestly man, why don’t you dimension hoppers ever inform yourselves about the risks of that strange hobby of yours?
Oh… my apologies! If someone has lived at Terminus Excidetus as long as I have, he – sometimes - tends to forget nobody elsewhere actually knows about it. Not that I’ve heard anyway… hence, the name. It means something like… wait, what about giving me this shiny time info gadget you got around your wrist in exchange for my precious information? Oh c’mon! … thanks a bunch!
So the name means Forgotten, Lost, Destroyed or even Rescuing Terminal.
You ask which one’s right? All of them, man, all of them. C’mon, let me show you around the town a bit while I’m filling you in. This place is giving me the creeps; they say it’s haunted. I haven’t seen proof for that till today and don’t mind being here… for some minutes. You’d better not challenge what you don’t know.
For every door you close, a new one opens.
You know that saying? This simple piece of wisdom has long been common knowledge for most people, no matter where they’re from. In fact, the reverse is true as well.
If you open a new door, somewhere else another one will be sealed.
Nothing bad, you say? Yeah, but now imagine that’s been exactly the gate you wanted to pass through. Your exit and somebody closed it without intending to or the contrary, who knows.
Anyway, interdimensional travel is a bloody fast thing, you’d crash at that “door”, if you will, but fortunately, there’s something in between… the Between, as some call Terminus. It’s like a safety net catching you… though I’ve met guys who’d have preferred to get lost rather than living here.
Whatever, it seems some get here by actual accident, like some kinda galactic mistake. Bad luck…
Yeah… anything else you wanna know? The way out? Newsflash, man, there is no way out! Well, some people say there’re one or more old guys sitting on top of the Mountain that know how to leave… but then again, why would they’ve stayed? Heard contradictive things about them and their whereabouts anyway so, if you ask me, that’s just some silly rumor.
Sooo… you’d better get familiar with the thought of spending the rest of your life here! It’s not that bad, really, and better than being lost somewhere, or actually nowhere, anyway. Sometimes it can get a little rough with those bloody subbers but… meh… I’ll tell you about them later… in exchange for a little something as you will surely understand. Time’s up!
You wanna know where it is, the Mountain? Have a look at a map, man, honestly! I’ll give you one if you swing by – and although I shouldn’t tell you that, some others in the town have some for sale as well… they’re not as exact as mine though. Anyways, you won’t get anything good without givi-… exactly, a little something. Interesting, of valuable material or both, all up to you, but the better the item, the more info you’ll get.
And now I gotta run, that’s the time of the day when customers come down to my information agency. Just ask around, it’s close to the Count’s Manor. See you around, have fun!
