She managed a weak smile and swung her Duil sideward, hacking through a Dunmhar. "That's lovely." Adara said, quirking a brow at him. He was just full of surprises. She surmised being with Adair all of the time hadn't taught her that others were capable of making use of their own powers. Considering she was in villages that had been ransacked by Dunmhars only a day after they'd spent there and watching people get hurt, it was fairly understandable.
The few precious moments that she'd been lost in thought came with a consequence. A searing pain traveled through her shoulder as a Dunmhar's weapon crashed into it. A yelp escaped her lips as her knees hit the ground beneath her. She summoned a shield through telekinesis, thankful she could. The shield would hold up until she could recollect her thoughts. She winced as she touched her shoulder gingerly and added a soft oath as she gathered herself up. "Adair isn't going to like this..." Her lips twisted into a wry smile as she inspected the damage.

He lunged at the creature sword in hand. With two quick strokes the beast was down. He immediately turned to Adara.
"Are you alright?!" he asked showing obvious signs of concern. He tried to approach her but was repelled by her shield, so he had no choice but to continue fighting the Dunmhars alone.
He turned to face the remaining Dunmhars, they appeared to be regrouping. He could tell from their thoughts they were wary about attacking them again. He prayed silently that they would end their attack.

"I'm alright. You needn't worry." She caught her lower lip between her teeth. She realized her shield warded all others off, including Ryven. The pain had lingered but the wound healed as it should have.
Adara quickly waved her shield away and stepped in front of Ryven, facing the remaining Dunmhars. With her arms slightly aloft, she focused all her power into Duil as she summoned it into a good number of silver arrows. An aura of silver radiated around her though she took no notice of it. "You will go now if you don't wish to die as your friends have." Her voice reverberated into the surroundings, firm and clear. She saw them stepping back and began to release the breath she held in fear of them attacking once more.

He watched as the Dunmhars turned and fled from the scene, they had done it. He knew that he would not have won the battle without Adara, there was definitely something more to her. Her power was far beyond that of the normal Thyon.
"Impressive," he stated the arrows.
One day she may tell him what is so different about her, but he knew that today would not be the day. He did not even know if he would be with her after this day.

((Ugh! Exams are killers!))
They fled. They really fled. The thought of their retreat flooded her mind and put her in a state of temporary euphoria. Her hands dropped to her sides. She turned her face skyward and closed her eyes momentarily. A chuckle escaped her lips. "We did it." Relief laced her voice as she turned to Ryven, her amethystine eyes sparkling with mirth.
"Were you hurt?" Her fingers curled lightly about Ryven's arm as she asked him. There was nothing but concern in her voice now. She herself was hurt but that was a result of her own carelessness. If he was hurt because of her, she'd never forgive herself. Not after she'd witnessed loads of people hurt becuase she stayed in their village for too long a time...

He looked into her eyes for a brief moment, allowing himself to read her concern. He could tell without reading her thoughts that she was expressing a genuine concern for his well being.
"No I'm not hurt," he replied calmly. He looked her up and down he wanted to make sure she was unharmed. He noticed the wound on her shoulder from the Dunmhar weapon.
"What about you? Is that serious?" he asked her motioning toward her shoulder.

"That is well..." She smiled weakly. Adara regarded him with her observant amethystine gaze for a moment, as if deciding whether or not he really was alright. Her gaze rove about as she checked for any signs of blood. Aside from the minor patches of dirt on his clothing, he seemed alright. She released a satisfied sigh.
"Oh," Her hand flew toward her shoulder as he pointed it out. "It certainly is unpleasant but I'm alright. It's healed." She shrugged.

He nodded then he turned away from her momentarily. His crystal blue eyes surveyed the surroundings, attempting to regain his bearings.
"I believe there is a small town on the other side of these woods," he stated not really meaning anything by it. "If you like we can go there," he suggested.

She considered his words for a short while. Traveling was no fun alone. Ryven would make a good companion, she surmised. She rearranged the hat on her head, twirling her pale locks orderly underneath it. She was, in fact, in more danger, disguised as a boy than if she wasn't. This didn't bother her. She'd fight if she needed to and Adair knew enough not to coax her out of a decision if she'd made one already.
"Are you coming?" She asked him, her amethystine eyes sparkling with curiosity and a hint of mischief.

Ryven adjusted himself quickly before following her.
"Of course," he replied. The two of them walked in silence for a while, of course they could say many things to each other and never make a sound.
Apart from the attack the forest was relatively calm and peaceful this day, a perfect day for a little trip.

Just how far is this village? She asked him mentally. Her inexperience in traveling outside the bounderies of Chenu was beginning to be apparent in her lack of knowledge of the towns, villages and locations in whatever place they went to.
They walked together in... comfortable silence. One she didn't need to break.

Just outside of the forest, it won't take us very long to get there.
The forest was already beginning to thin. They were not far at all. He guessed they would be there before nightfall.

Adara nodded and tailed Ryven as he walked. She conjured a black velvet coat and draped it over her shoulders. One slender hand reached up to check if her cap was still on before she flipped the hood of her cloak over her head.
"You don't mind that I hide slightly, do you?" She pointed at her ensemble. "Dressing like my brother prevents most Dunhmhars from centering on me because of the fact that I am a female." Adara grimaced.

He looked back at her and noticed her disguise. He shrugged.
"If that makes you feel more comfortable," he replied with a smile.
I do not believe we will be attacked, but I guess we can never be too careful.

She only nodded. We never can, can we? Her amethystine gaze clouded with melancholy at the memory of her parents' deaths. Adara tugged at her cloak and secured her hood. She didn't exactly want her companion to see her on the verge of tears. She took a deep breath to calm herself and continued to follow Ryven.
